As director of communications for VMLY&R, Jamie manages external relations for the agency including media relationships with advertising trade publications, social media, the agency's web presence, speaking engagements and thought leadership.

Prior to this role, Jamie worked on client-side public relations at VML, managing the launch of a new product line for Kleenex and several campaigns for the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.

Prior to VMLY&R, Jamie was part of the Advanced Public Affairs Team for the American Red Cross, spending two years in New York managing public affairs surrounding the organization's response to Hurricane Sandy.

Jamie has more than 13 years of journalism experience, working for several TV stations across the Midwest, including the NBC affiliate in Kansas City for ten years. He was awarded an Emmy for his work on a story about Kansas City's Hare Krishna culture and traveled to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to report on local troops guarding Al Quaeda detainees after 9/11.

An avid baseball fan, in the summer Jamie also works part time handling media relations for the Kansas City T-Bones, a minor league team.
